Board Goals & Guardrails

  • The Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education wants to hear from you! 

    Throughout October and early November, members of the CPS Board of Education hosted Goals & Guardrails sessions that provided the general community and key stakeholder groups with an opportunity to provide input. From the position of governance, the feedback will be instrumental and assist the Superintendent in determining and aligning priorities with operational directives. 

    • Goals Definition: The community's most important priorities for student learning over the next 3-5 years as best understood by the Board. Goals should be specific, measurable, ambitious, realistic, and time-bound.

    • Guardrail Definition: The Board's effort to make sure that the most important of the community's values are also represented in the district's priorities.
