Magnet and High School Lottery Opens in December


The Lottery is opening this December for everyone interested in applying to a CPS school, including all High Schools, Magnet schools and programs and Sibling applications. Stay tuned for the official opening date & time. 

New this year: There will not be any special lottery application periods for sibling or out-of-neighborhood applicants this year. To register for the lottery, you must create an account in Focus - CPS’ new student information system for the 2024-2025 school year.

Shaping the Future: Join CPS Budget Roundtable Engagement Sessions! 

Your input is needed as CPS develops a budget for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. 

The next opportunity for community input will be Dec. 6, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the CPS Ed. Center (2651 Burnet Avenue). These sessions will be part informational, part workshop in an effort to discuss new ideas and capture feedback.

My Kidz Toy Drive

The My Kidz Foundation is hosting a toy drive Dec. 9, 2023, and is asking attendees to bring a gift to donate. The toy drive benefits Project Connect, serving students experiencing housing instability.

To go beyond storytelling sessions, we invite community members and partners to "Be Present!" in our Read 2 Lead program in an effort to improve literacy. Become a volunteer and learn more! 



CPS Hosts Cheer Showcase December 3! 

Cincinnati Public Schools is excited to host a Cheerleading competition to highlight cheer programs throughout the district! Be Present December 3, 2023 to support the incredible talents and hard work of CPS' cheerleaders.
When: Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 at 12 p.m.
Where: Walnut Hills High School
Events include Competition, Game Day, Spirit and Jump Off.

Metro Announces Route Changes! 

Metro is adding and improving routes to improve efficiency to meet the needs of their ridership effective Dec. 3, 2023. Metro is rolling out two new crosstown routes and adjusting a third to extend service to Northside. This may impact some 7-12 grade students.
